February 8th, 2016 is Chinese New Year. The date of the new year changes each year, since the Chinese system uses a lunar calendar, which doesn't sync up with our Gregorian one.
While we were in China, celebrating the new year entailed lots of fireworks, eating dumplings, and trying to stay warm without any indoor heat. Here, the weather has been plenty warm and we won't be setting off any fireworks but I am very excited to go out for some traditional dumplings!
The Fire Monkey year is an exciting one. Some may caution us of the monkey's famous trickery, and flexibility will certainly be needed but this is also an excellent time for taking risks and trying new things. If we can stay on our toes and use our creativity, we can really move forward. Good luck to everyone!
